Terms of Service
Last updated October 3, 2026
The service
Rikai provides USMLE question-bank practice, study sessions, explanations, notes, bookmarks, and progress tracking. You must use an eligible Google account to create and access a Rikai account.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rikai. When you create an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and agree to these terms.
Educational use only
Rikai is a study tool, not medical advice, clinical decision support, or a guarantee of examination performance. Do not use Rikai to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about a patient. Always rely on qualified instructors, current clinical guidance, and official examination materials.
Subscriptions and promotions
Purchases are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, applicable taxes, and billing support. Paid access renews automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout until canceled. Eligible introductory trials or discounts apply only as described at checkout, cannot be combined unless Paddle permits it, and may be limited to first-time customers or a fixed number of redemptions.
You can cancel future renewals from the billing page, which opens the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation ends renewal but does not ordinarily refund time already purchased, except where required by law or expressly stated during checkout. See the refund policy for requests.
Your account
You are responsible for your account activity and for maintaining control of your Google account. Do not share access, sell accounts, evade access controls, interfere with the service, or use automated means to scrape or reproduce Rikai content.
Content license
Rikai and its licensors retain all rights in the service and question-bank content. An active subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license for individual study. It does not grant permission to copy, publish, distribute, train models on, or create competing materials from the content.
Bundled fonts have separate font licenses and copyright notices.
Availability and enforcement
Rikai may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict accounts that violate these terms, threaten security, infringe rights, or create legal risk. The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rikai is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, examination outcomes, or reliance on educational content. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount you paid Rikai during the six months before the claim.
Trademarks
USMLE is a joint program of the Federation of State Medical Boards and the National Board of Medical Examiners. UWorld, NBME, AMBOSS, BoardVitals, USMLE-Rx, Mehlman, PassMedicine, CanadaQBank, TrueLearn and eMedici are trademarks of their respective owners. Names identify source products. Their appearance on Rikai does not imply endorsement or sponsorship by their owners.
Changes and contact
Rikai may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to help@getrikai.app. See the Privacy Policy for data practices.
